In the book of Matthew, we see countless examples of Jesus meeting people in their deepest need and bringing healing and restoration. One such moment involves a ruler whose daughter had died. Desperate and full of faith, he came to Jesus, worshiped Him, and said, “If You lay Your hands on her, she will live.”
Moved by his faith, Jesus accompanied the ruler to his home, bringing His disciples along. Upon arriving, Jesus found the house filled with professional mourners, people without faith in the possibility of the girl's revival. He asked them to leave, declaring, “The girl is not dead but asleep.” Once the doubters were removed, Jesus took the girl by the hand, and she rose. Simply put, Jesus’ presence matters. He can give life in dead situations.
Jesus often healed and restored lives throughout His ministry with three simple but powerful instructions: Get Up, Get Out, and Go Right. These commands were not just for the people of that time—they are still relevant today. They call us to rise from difficult circumstances, leave behind what hinders us, and move forward in righteousness under His guidance.
Come join us for an evening of praise and worship as we give honor and glory to God, the most High as we enter into the year of 2025..
